About our CMU Location
Located in the heart of Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) - one of the country's most vibrant academic hubs - is De Fer Coffee & Tea at CMU, a haven for coffee connoisseurs, tea enthusiasts, and lovers of good food. Located in the Resnik House while our Hunt Library location is undergoing renovations, we can’t wait for you to see our new spot! Expect delicious specialty coffee and tea, as well as scratch-made food right here in Pittsburgh.

Featuring a seasonally rotating food menu, there’s bound to be something for you matter what you’re feeling. Cookies, muffins, scones, sandwiches, chia pudding, and more.

Drip coffee, nitro cold brew, espresso and milk beverages, loose leaf tea, house-made simple syrups and a rotating pour-over menu, expertly made just how you like ‘em. Our drink offerings also include seasonal twists on a variety of your favorite bevs.
Please note: Cold brew and shrubs are not available at this location.

Fresh roasted coffee available from our roastery in the Strip District, perfect for when you grab a cup of coffee and need to bring a bag of the beans home! Take ‘em whole bean, or have them ground for you before you leave.
