We're not a typical restaurant. Assistant Manager - Strip District

Pay & Hours

  • $14hr based

  • This position includes tips from our general tip pool

  • Ability to work full time (35+ hours on average)

  • Quarterly Bonus based on sales

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Ensure customer experience is up to our standard of excellence across all aspects of experience (food/drink quality, customer interaction/communication, cafe vibe and cleanliness)

  • Inventory Management

  • Food ordering/forecasting as well as tracking food waste

  • Lead new hire on-the-job training, work with cross functional partners to lead formal training as needed.

  • Manage strip-specific project tracker
    solicit feedback from team and propose efficiency and or growth projects

  • Identify opportunities for growth/improvement, worth with leadership team to resource

  • Build strong relationships with cross functional partners by meeting on a regular basis. 

  • Willingness to build new partnerships

  • Willingness to work with leaders on overall strategy of the Strip location and broader company

Evening Department Lead - Strip District

Pay & Hours

  • $14 hr

  • This position include tips from our general tip pool

  • Ability to work full time (35+ hours on average)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Willingness to train the team and ensure quality at all times

  • Send out only great coffee, tea, food, cocktails

  • Keep the cafe clean at all times (FOH, BOH, Bathrooms, Basement)

  • Communicate consistently and genuinely with customers throughout your shift

  • Support your team to the best of your abilities on bar

  • Cover for team members when sick

  • Make sure the opening crew completes all backups.

  • Help develop and support events that will help drive business

Kitchen / Pastry

Pay & Hours

  • $12/14hr based on experience

  • This position include tips from our general tip pool

  • Ability to work full or part time

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

This position will include light line cooking (think breakfast sandwiches) and baking pastries which we distribute fresh daily to all of our cafes.

Must have experience cooking, ideally professionally--or at least be a very serious home cook. This position has potential to grow into leadership roles if desired. The main requirement beyond cooking experience and skill is just an extremely positive (and fun) attitude, and desire to work very hard to make the best café food in Pittsburgh. Hours are flexible, and generally fall between 7am and 4pm--so not many super early or super late nights.

Serious inquiries only--specialty coffee and/or bartending experience is a major plus too, as there will be opportunity to expand into those areas in the future as well if its a good fit.
