Flower Show

from $10.00

Our yearly spring blend is back, and it’s sipping better than ever! This year, we’re featuring two different Ethiopian coffees, a washed process from Guji with complex acidity and florals, and a natural process from Sidama bringing great mouthfeel and sweetness.

The blend of these two coffees creates a combination that can’t be beat. Tropical and stone fruit acidity like juicy peaches, a syrupy sweet tea body, and a clean floral finish make for a coffee unlike anything we’ve had before.

MORE ABOUT THIS COFFEE

Named with inspiration from Phipps Conservatory’s annual Spring Flower Show, our seasonal spring blend is meant to match the feelings of the season. Delicate florals, sweetness as we move on from a long Pittsburgh winter, and a refreshing brew to enter the warm weather. Both of the Ethiopian coffees are outstanding on their own, and blend to become greater than the sum of their parts.

Ethiopia, the homeland of Arabica coffee, might only produce 3-4% of the world’s coffee supply, but the variety of character that comes from this origin is astounding. Ethiopia green coffee is celebrated for its bright fruit and floral flavors, expressed with exceptional acidity and sweetness. Out of the many coffee-growing districts in the country, a few stand out from the crowd with their highly distinctive cup profiles, like Yirgacheffe, Sidama, and Guji.

SHIPPING: We ship orders on Tuesdays and Fridays. Order cutoff is 12pm the day PRIOR to the ship day. We do our best to ship your coffee within two days of roasting it. If you ever feel your coffee is not fresh enough, just let us know and we’ll replace it.

Domestic shipping is free for orders of $50 or more. Otherwise, it is a $7.50 flat rate anywhere in the US. We ship everything via UPS Ground.

NOTES ON GRINDING: If you choose “French Press” grind, expect it to be finer than usual, so you’re guaranteed good extraction. Some ultra fine coffee particles will make it through the screen and create a flavorful, albeit slightly opaque cup. In other words, we choose flavor over aesthetics. If you want to keep your cup looking cleaner, choose a pour over grind.

If you don’t see your preferred grind in the options then simply let us know in the notes section at checkout and we’d be happy to grind it for your favorite brewing method.
